Please read this full text in case you have a question. It might already be answered here :) Episode 1.24 The One Where Rachel finds out that Ross was in love with her. There are two questions that get asked very frequently, so I'll just put the answers here :) 1 - "I don't get it, what is actually so funny about what Chandler says?" At the time of this episode, Ross is in love with Rachel. Everybody knows, except for Rachel and Ross wants to keep it that way. When Chandler says that Ross also once bought an expensive gift for the other girl he was in love with (Carol), he indirectly implies that Ross is in love with Rachel now, since he bought an expensive gift for her too. Rachel picks up on this and then realises that Ross is in love with her. 2 - "Who's hand is Joey holding?" The hand Joey is holding belongs to the girl who is, at that moment, his girlfriend. She's better known as the 'fruit basket girl'. Appearantly the producers decided to not include her in any shots during this key scene.
